I approach lifestyle newborn photography with the philosophy that the most beautiful images are created by capturing authentic, natural moments. Classic, staged portraits are great — and we’ll definitely make time for them — but the most magical newborn photos are captured in the moment, when you and your baby are relaxed and just being yourselves.

Why should we get newborn photos taken?
Because it’s the only way to stop time and preserve the beautiful early days you’ll spend with your newborn! In time, these photos will become your family’s most valued treasures — keepsakes that you’ll be able to revisit again and again, long after your baby is grown with a family of their own!
What are your prices for newborn photography packages?
Usually, newborn photoshoots cost an average of $750 each.

When should we get newborn photos?
The best time to schedule a newborn photo session is in the first two weeks of your baby being born. In that window of time, they’re still nice and sleepy and still have that “brand new baby” look that you’ll always want to remember.
Of course, I know it’s not always possible to schedule a photoshoot so soon, but I consider babies to be newborns until 8 weeks. At the end of the day, it’s never too late to photograph your baby. They’ll be beautiful no matter what!.
Where do you photograph newborns?
Newborn photos are captured in the comfort of your own home in Quesnel and the surrounding area. They can also be photographed outdoors in the summer months. For photoshoots capturing your baby’s first 48 hours, I’ll travel to the hospital and photograph you and your newborn there.
Do you offer print products and albums?
Yes! Your photos deserve to be more than profile pictures and screensavers. They are meant to be heirloom items that are passed on down for generations. Your baby is your most beautiful artwork and should be displayed proudly in your home. You can order prints, albums, canvases, frames, and much more right from your viewing gallery.
What is your photography style?
I consider my photography style to be lifestyle newborn photography. I practise a method that I call “baby lead posing,” which means I won’t pose your baby in some strange or awkward way. Instead, I’ll photograph them where they like to be best — in your arms. I will offer you lots of gentle guidance throughout the session so you’ll look your best without anything feeling awkward or forced.
What if my baby arrives early or late?
Newborn sessions are booked 2 weeks after your due date. I only book a limited number of newborn sessions each month to be able to accommodate changes in timing, since babies almost never arrive on their due date! Once your baby is born, you can contact me to confirm a final date and time for our session.
Do you have props for newborns?
My style is very natural, so I tend to avoid staged props like baskets and buckets. However, when you book a photoshoot with me, you get access to the Client Closet, which features a beautiful collection of newborn outfits and blankets, as well as dresses for mom.
